Deleting Project and the Project Site from Project Center

Hi again,

Microsoft continues improving Project Online and that is fantastic.

Do you know there is another way to delete your project directly from the Project Center?

Yes, and is super easy, of course, if your user has the correct permission for that.

So, let’s try it.
Connect to your Project Online and go to the Project Center.

Select the project, click on Open Menu -> More Options -> Delete and check the box if you want to delete the Project Site also.

Super easy right?

See you soon !!!

Hi there. Do you know what the “correct permissions” are to enable this feature? I have set the “Delete Project” category setting does not seem to enable it (based on the category).

This is is kindof a crazy one though. To have this, you have to enable the global permission “Clean up Project Server Database.” It seems that from the project center, if you have the delete project enabled in the My Project Category, the button will show up on projects that the user has the category permissions to delete. That is great! The gotcha is that enabling the “Clean up Project Server Database” gives the user access to the “Delete Enterprise Objects” in the Server Settings where they can see and delete anything. It would be nice if their was a permission that allowed the delete button but not the global permission.
